A trip to the Kaprun Alpine Reservoirs offers fascinating insights into the high alpine region of the hohe Tauern massif. The clean, fresh air, the lush green of the alpine meadows, the turquoise waters of the reservoirs and the white peaks of the glasviers are truly magnificient sights. The journey starts at the bottom of the Kaprun valley at the Kesselfall Alpenhaus. Buses will take you to Europe's largest open funicular, which ist 820 m long and ascends an incline of 431 m. From there, the journey continues by bus, taking you to the Mooserboden reservoir at 2.040 m above sea level.
