Archery in the SalzburgerLand
Beginners generally just focus on handling the bow and arrow correctly. But for true masters of the sport, archery can mean so much more - after all, it's also about the ART OF LIFE.
Swimming in the SalzburgerLand
185 lakes adorn the landscape - in the neighboring Salzkammergut region, in the mountain valleys, on the mountaintops. In addition to the natural lakes, over 20 specially created swimming lakes and more than 60 outdoor pools dotted throughout the SalzburgerLand invite you to revel in aquatic fun.
Summer Alpine Curling in the SalzburgerLand
Similar in many respects to curling, ice stock is played on ice in winter and on asphalt surfaces during the summer months. Players may participate in team or individual competition, with the goal being to slide your disk closest to a rubber target or Daube. There is also a distance version of the sport.
Fishing in the SalzburgerLand
Some 90 different fishing waters, from the big lakes of the Alpine Foothills to our mountain tarns, from the Salzach to the Lammer rivers, are home to such species as pike, grayling, char, rainbow and brook trout. Our info sheet will provide you with specifics about which fish you can catch in the various towns and fishing waters, along with permissible baits and where you can pick up the necessary fishing permits!
