Soak in those magnificent natural landscapes, breathe in the clear winter air, and enjoy the tranquility - you can do all of this during a winter's hike through the SalzburgerLand. Almost everywhere in the SalzburgerLand, extended hiking trails are cleared, both parallel to and away from the ski slopes.

There's hardly a more peaceful and enchanting way to enjoy the winter than to sit up in a horse-drawn sleigh, snuggle under your blankets, and let yourself be chauffeured through the winter landscapes. And when it's combined with a stop-off at a country inn, it's difficult to imagine a more romantic or convivial way to spend times with friends and loved-ones.

The toboggan is one of the Alps' oldest pieces of winter sports equipment - put quite simply, it's a classic. But to this very day, there's no better fun to be had for the young and young-at-heart, than sledding along natural or specially created runs down into the valleys of the SalzburgerLand. Many runs are floodlit, though you might well prefer the romance of sledding by torchlight.
